On the outside looking in, we have had an amazing week:
That’s us at a Washington Nationals game on Memorial Day. We love baseball games, and that was really fun.
Plus, we’ve gotten to see some wonderful friends this week. Thanks for having us over, Pastor and Terri!!!
Their dog is probably still recovering from what Daniel seemed to think was their ‘play date.’ Poor Annie.
So good things have happened, and a few crummy things have happened, but nothing all that terrible. I think the main thing getting to me is just the stress of this humongous move!!
So three thoughts for today:
1. A good night’s sleep will fix a lot of things. I’m hoping to go get one in a minute.
2. A grumpy baby will ruin anyone’s day. If you don’t believe me, then it has obviously been a long time since you hung out with one.
3. The world still turns. All of today’s problems will be forgotten three weeks from now.
4. No matter how early I get up to have coffee, every child in this house will be awake before I’ve gotten the coffee poured into my cup…
But they are ADORABLE. Here’s your weekly dose of adorable. Just watch this video of JD crawling over to wake up his brother:

yes! I bet you've been there too!!!
Yes, I have even tested it. I get up every morning at 5:00 so one morning I decided to get up at 4 so I could wake up and have my coffee before everyone else got up. The coffee was not even done brewing when my 2 year old woke up. Lol
Yes!!! You can't beat the little ones. They have an extra sense. They know when you are awake!!!

Looks like everyone enjoyed the ballgame. Did JD succeed in waking Daniel up? He certainly tried! :) One positive thing to think about... This time next month your laundry room will be on the main floor instead of in the basement! That will be lots easier. Praying for all of you as you face saying bye to church friends Sunday. We even put it on our SS prayer list! But I believe you may be back there before too many years and will see lots of them again. It always surprises me how so many of your old friends turn up in your new places!
JD failed to wake up the Dan Man. Dan sleeps harder than the dead-- 3hour naps, during which I can put him in the stroller, go to pick up the boys, stop at the park, bring him home, carry him inside and lay him on the sofa--and he sleeps through ALL of it!

I think your perspective is so sweet! Despite all be negatives, you are able (and intentional, which is even more important), to find the positives! Your post reminds me of that saying, that with kids "the days are long but the years are short"! Hoping you get your good night's rest!
