kindness
Sometimes you meet truly kind people who go over and beyond for you. Thank you so much, Hillary. This made move-in weekend so much easier. I know I already mentioned this. Some things bear repeating!!!

THE PLATE: I can now look at this without crying. I think. Let me look at it tomorrow, and I will let you know.

I keep moving things around in there, but you get the idea.
more feeding the baby…
I love china. I love crystal. Why do pretty dishes make me so happy? I don’t know, but they really do.
This is the sitting area of the dining room. It’s awesome. This is where I have reading time with the boys everyday, after lunch.
I thought this would be a holding area for decor until I found a place for each piece, as I unpacked and set up. No, it just became a growing eye-sore that made me feel like I would never finish. I finally crammed all that junk into the storage closet. Yep.
Caleb was so excited about school, I had to get started right away!
getting organized: I keep buying more of these. These first ones were a gift from my friend Lisa, back in Virginia. Thank you, Lisa!

JD’s big boy bed is ready and waiting for him…..because somehow we have ended up with 4 twin beds, a crib, and a full sized bed. Craziness.
So cute.

Ah…..I love it. The boys feel the same way about the beach as I do. 🙂
Things are coming together. We actually have lots of things hanging on the walls now! One step closer to feeling like home!
We all went to Moss Landing yesterday evening, in search of whales. The water was not as cold as I thought it would be. We didn’t see any whales, but we did see tons of seals. I guess they are seals. They have flippers, not paws, and they are smaller than sea lions. I need to research that. We LOVED finally getting in some family beach time, and now my really precious but horrible sleeper is crying, so I’d better go tend to that… Hope you all had a great Labor Day!!
