It’s a strange time. My kids are three and almost six, and there are things I am so proud to tell them, and also things I don’t even know to explain because I still think they are huge problems! Ugh!
My sister hurt her hip so I’d love to hear anything that works!
And you have a nice sentiment about the flag. It’s sad – and taking it down won’t heal the country. I’m such a northerner born and raised, so I don’t know a lot about the flag and what it could mean to different people.

Thank you! I’m all for Southern pride–just loving being a Southerner, I just think that if the flag we associate with that is also associated with lynchings, murder, and hatred, then it’s time to let it go. People should still have the freedom to fly it at their own home, but not on our state capitals.

You are right the confederate flag is being used as a symbol of hatred and it’s just sad.
