She sounds like such a beautiful and wise woman, and you’re lucky to have known her for so long (some of us don’t get that chance). Her secret to happiness is smart, and something that I’ll definitely be doing to start by day from now on. It’s simple, but I believe her. I’ll be smiling when I reflect on my three things at the end of the day.

For years I had considered her the one constant in my life. I wish I had written letters with her, like you did, but I’m also glad you had that amazing woman in your life. Although she was considerably older than 56, when she died we were all like, “No. I refuse to accept that. She had decades left. Eons.”
She was so involved with us. It was amazing.
All we can do really is keep the memories alive through pictures and writing and even better – doing the things they did.
