My boys complain about helping out most times I ask but they realize it’s part of life and they’ve become quite adept at most any job around the house. They’re assigned chores and then every 3-6 months we swap them around to make sure they’re all learning how to do all the jobs. It’s great help and it’s important for them to learn life skills.

As one of five kids, we all had set chores to get allowance. I remember having the same one for YEARS. Why didn’t we mix it up more? Or do trades?
