So New England has this thing where you say, “The horrible winters make me appreciate the better days.” We all sort of suffer, whether in winter or spring.
Well Cassidy used to say, “No way. I lived in California and appreciated EVERY good day there.” It was true. The epic scenery. The winding roads. The fact that it rained twice in my first year there. Twice. It already rained here six times this week.
And so, I get it though. I didn’t always see everything beautiful around me… because.. daily life. When I had tourists in, then we did. And this was before kids and we only have two. So I get you!

Nice exchange, huh?! I’m still enjoying seeing all the pictures. Monterey is a beautiful place, and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The ocean was spectacular, the waves (and wind) incredibly powerful, and the flowers beautiful, too!
