Ok so my 6th grade teacher was so honest and he told us the worst thing about teaching is the parents. He said he HATES Open House Night because the parents ruin everything! Toothless Wonder and all.

Yes, it was rough! Teaching in general is a tough job. At least it was to me. Just to clarify, they did have recess…but I watched them at recess so still not a break. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Oh, dear!” Too funny – apparently so! And the toothless wonder!? That is hilarious. Who does that??!?!! I can’t believe you, nor the kids, had a break at all during the day. Pretty sure that’s illegal. If it’s not it should be. You were definitely not set up for success with that situation – geez! And yes, unfortunately crowd control is a huge part of it. And even after 12 years of teaching, I still felt like I was drowning at times and had trouble ever figuring out how to leave before 6:00. Thank goodness you had some angels in Sarah and the Americorp lady – especially since you couldn’t talk to Alan. Can’t wait til next week’s post!
