Haaaa! Now sharing a bathroom definitely would have been worse. No, that has not happened to me, but I know it’s not totally uncommon over there and even in NYC. Sometimes traveling can be tough for the thrifty, like us!

I actually did experience a similar stay – in England as well! We had a trip to Oxford in July. Stayed in a local inn above a pub – just like you! Didn’t have air conditioning and kept windows open but it didn’t cool much. And… we didn’t have a private bathroom – we had to share the bathroom with all the guests! Has that happened to you before in your travels?
